On Monday, UNISON members in Notting Hill Housing Group are taking industrial action, regarding changes to terms and conditions being imposed by their employer. The changes will save the employer very little money and appear to be ideologically driven - their chief exec is a Tory adviser.
Notting Hill have refused to sit down and talk to UNISON, or go to ACAS, and so members felt they had no option but to vote to take action. The ballot produced a 93% vote in favour of a strike. More details here http://www.insidehousing.co.uk/story.aspx?storycode=6508717
