Flags Ahoy!

Visitors to Euston Road will be met today by 3 new flagpoles outside the UNISON Centre taking the union’s campaigning message on pensions to the travelling public along London’s busy inner ring road.

UNISON Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Gallery opens

Last night the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Gallery within the new UNISON Centre in London was formally opened. The interactive gallery is a jewel in UNISON’s crown and a must-see for all feminists and trade unionists. Elizabeth Garret Anderson was the first woman to qualify as a doctor in Britain.

UNISON Centre opening ceremony

Yesterday UNISON NEC members, regional convenors, past Presidents and all national staff met at 130 Euston Road London to mark the opening of the union's new national centre. General Secretary Dave Prentis and President Angela Lynes unveiled a plaque and made brief speeches outlining their pride in the union's achievements over the past 18 years and addressed the difficult challenges ahead:
