10 years of campaigning for a living wage

The Living Wage campaign has yielded £96m in topped-up wages for thousands of workers over the past 10 years, according to a study by Queen Mary College, University of London: http://www.independent

The Independent on Sunday this week published an article to mark the tenth anniversary of UNISON's groundbreaking decision to commission the Family Budget Union to research a a living wage for London. Subsequently TELCO (The East London Communities Organisation) published Low Pay in East London, charting how low-paid workers are caught between minimum and living wage.

Over the past decade the campaign has gone from strength to strength and today the Living Wage campaign calls for every worker in the country to earn 'enough to provide their family with the essentials of life:'
