Public services industry‏ sees profits in coalition

The public services industry is beside itself at the prospect of getting outsourced contracts fom the ConDem coalition according to the Times and the Telegraph: "... senior civil servants I have talked to believe there will be real commitment to long-term cost savings and that an ambitious outsourcing programme will play a key part in that", says David Wighton in the Times online. http://business.timesonline.co.uk/tol/business/columnists/article7123454.ece

And he goes further, "So the prospects for outsourcing companies in Britain look bright. And, who knows? Things might get so bad elsewhere that our outsourcing pioneers may one day export their expertise to the rest of Europe."

Rachel Cooper in the Telegraph quotes Henry Carver, an analyst at KBC Peel Hunt, as saying the deficit reduction plan was “very good news” for Capita.

“We know they have long been in discussions with senior Tory MPs about how they can start to deliver efficiencies in central government immediately after the election if they needed to.” http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/supportservices/7716778/Coalition-Government-cuts-to-benefit-outsourcing-firms.html
