Tory plans for NHS sell off‏

Solomon Hughes writing in today’s Morning Star exposes the real Tory intentions for the NHS behind Cameron’s duplicitous poster campaign ‘cut the deficit, not the NHS’.

Hughes points out the continuities between New Labour marketisation measures such as Independent Sector Treatment Centres and Tory proposals. Acknowledging the belated but positive statement made last year by health minister Andy Burnham MP that the NHS is the “preferred provider” of NHS services, Hughes exposes the private equity buzzards of the public sector industrial complex who stand to gain from the Tory privatisation agenda.
