The Global Policy Institute Politics Series: The Future of the Left: Social Democracy after the Crash . The discussion will be led by Dr. Jon Cruddas MP (Labour MP for Dagenham), Professor Stephen Haseler (Director, Global Policy Institute), Neal Lawson (Chair, Compass) 9th February 2010 at 5:30pm London
Dr. Jon Cruddas, a candidate for the deputy leadership of the Labour Party in 2006 is a leading Labour politician and author. Professor Stephen Haseler is a former Labour candidate, founder of the SDP and author of books on British politics. Neal Lawson, Chair of Compass, a political pressure group based on democracy, equality and sustainability, is an author and activist.
The meeting will be chaired by Dr. David Carlton, Professorial Research Fellow of the Global Policy Institute and a former SDP candidate. This seminar is the first in a series on British politics and the financial crisis.
