Serves you right. The crisis is your own making‏

You really couldn’t make it up! We have seen how the Tories have attempted to shift blame from the bankers on to Labour and the public sector but today’s Guardian piece highlights just how far removed from reality Eric Pickles has become.

He states that whilst people blame bankers for the financial crisis local government must shoulder its share of the blame. ‘Big government’ in Pickles words is part of the cause.

So there we have the explanation. It was all those grubby councillors, bin men and dinner ladies who were on the make, gambling billions on the international markets, then begging cap in hand for Gordon Brown to bail them. And then when they had finished passing around the begging bowl they all awarded themselves fat cat bonuses as well. They should be arrested shouldn’t they.

It’s an outrage!
