Yesterday battling public service workers in Greece staged another national strike against austerity measures imposed by their crisis ridden Government. Public services were shut down across the country as tens of thousands of workers supported the action.
Last week Greece secured up to 45 billion euro loans from the RU and IMF to cover its debt financing needs. The predictable pay back is pay cuts, tax rises and attacks on welfare benefit including those of retired workers.
