Broken Holmes - dumb lies about density exposed

Small time boosters for UNISON General Secretary candidate Paul Holmes have made strident claims that his branch has "86% density" which is "the best in the union".

These far fetched claims have been presented as a unique selling point for Holmes. Worse still, as branch secretary Holmes either is deluded and believes that they are true - or for reasons of expediency has knowingly basked in the lies of his London based propagandists.

Yorkshire's Positively Prentis blog has disclosed the truth about UNISON membership in Kirklees Council. The density in the lead employer is 58%. Typical of many North of England local government metropolitan branches which inherited strong NALGO and NUPE branches this is a decent base of organisation.

Yet it is significantly lower (-28%) than the 86% level claimed by the ultra left lie machine.
