The excellent UNISON poster campaign, funded by the union’s General Political Fund, brings to an end the Tory monopoly on billboard advertising in the General election.
Not only is it good for democracy that our union is counteracting the Tory advertising blitz funded by non-dom Lord Ashcroft – but even better is the advertising message about the planned Tory blitzkrieg of our public services.
A sign that our message hits home is the reaction of Tory supporters – for example the rabid dogs of the Tory right who are pouring forth their venom against UNISON on the blog of the Spectator magazine. Reading the comments column is a quick education in right wing bile and invective.
