The Observer reports on leaked documents which reveal how private health firms worked with Downing Street to ensure the Health and Social Care Act went ahead. This is the latest example of how the public services industrial complex has a firm grip on elected policy makers:

Only a few days ago it was reported that the Prime Minister’s former NHS privatisation adviser is now working for a lobbying firm which acts for several private companies contracting with the NHS. He is the latest in a long line of politicians and advisers who have passed through the revolving door between Whitehall and big business:
