In the face of overwhelming evidence that austerity isn’t working, the Daily Mail reports that Tory Chancellor George Osborne is planning ‘nuclear public spending cuts’ in response to increased Government borrowing - owing to ‘a dramatic slump in tax receipts and a surge in spending on benefits’ – both symptomatic of the Con Dem mismanagement of the economy:

Similar evidence is provided by official data published recently in Greece, where in the 5th year of recession, the economy shrank by 6.2% in the second quarter of 2012.
Under the EU/IMF/ECB bail out terms the Greek Government is attempting to push through a further €11.5 billion cuts over the next two years which will compound its economic collapse:

With the divided Con Dem coalition desperately holding out for a June 2015 General Election to avoid mutually assured destruction, the Labour Party, TUC and affiliated unions must hammer home the simple message that austerity is not working because it is self defeating and generate public outrage to block Osborne's deranged proposals:
