#uNDC11 It is safe to assume that Ed Balls MP has never taken a day’s strike action in his working life. And like most of his colleagues in the Parliamentary Labour Party his union membership is largely a symbolic line on his political CV.
But still we might expect better from a senior Labour Minster than patronising drivel about not‘walking into strike traps’ which supposedly will enable the Tories tosave face on the economy: http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/top-stories/2011/06/19/ed-balls-no-return-to-80s-strike-strife-115875-23211037/
As part of a Shadow Cabinet dissembling strategy this might be auseful line to avoid supporting the planned strikes, but why doesn’t Balls condemn the Government attack on our members given the agreement that the last Labour Government reached with public sector unions to address the very issues the ConDems now used as a pretext for their unjustified deficit tax on our pension contributions?
