Future of NHS - well they did ask for this didn't they?

Today in a desperate bid to quell mounting opposition to the NHS reforms the Government has launched a ‘consultation’ which will include seeking views on:
- The role of choice and competition for improving quality
- How to ensure public accountability and patient involvement in the new system
- How new arrangements for education and training can support the modernisation process
- How advice from across a range of healthcare professions can improve patient care

Well they did ask didn’t they? Make sure they hear the message that competition has no place in public services and limits accountability and patient involvement, that fragmenting services will only undermine the proud role of the NHS as the premium route for training and skilling staff and if they really want advice stop gambling with a world class health service!.
