UNISON steps up to the plate in defence public sector pensions

UNISON representatives have been prominent in today's media coverage of the Hutton Commission recommendations. General Secretary Dave Prentis was interviewed on BBC Radio 4's Today programme to make an immediate response to Hutton following the ex Labour Minister's first media appearance.

Dave castigated Con Dem duplicity in pre-empting the Commission by demanding a massive 50% increase in employee contributions (a point surprisingly conceded by Hutton). The item in full can be listened to here:
