The Nursing Times reports that the NHS unions including UNISON have emphatically rejected 'any proposal to freeze pay increments' in an official response to NHS Employers.
The formal decision to reject the offer was made following an NHS staff council meeting last week.
Reflecting the overwhelming view of union members employed in the NHS, the unions 'agreed they would not support any future proposal that involved freezing incremental pay'
