In a rare workers-eye perspective on the impending cuts, the story features interviews with the regional TUC as well as UNISON activists and officials including a stark statement of intent by City of Newcastle Branch Secretary and Deputy Regional Convenor Kenny Bell, "either they will try to work with us and recognise the positive role we can play, or there will be war."
