The People's History Museum set to reopen‏

Manchester’s unique People’s History Museum (PHM) re-opens tomorrow after a £12.5m re-development project. It is the national centre for the ‘collection, conservation, interpretation and study of material relating to the history of working people in Britain’.

The PHM covers numerous historic struggles of the working class and is a must visit location for delegates at next year’s UNISON NDC in Manchester – the city of the 1819 Peterloo massacre and the region where the industrial revolution was born.

Check out Newsnight on BBC2 at 1030 tonight for a preview feature on the PHM. http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/s/1192242_peoples_history_museum_set_to_reopen
