CND International Conference: Making nuclear disarmament happen: ideas and action in a changing world CND is holding an International Conference which is taking place on Saturday 10th October 2009 at Mary Ward House, Tavistock Square, London WC1H 9SN

As Presidents Obama and Medvedev work for nuclear weapons cuts, the demand for global nuclear disarmament is increasing. But there are also parallel dangers of nuclear proliferation and war. What concrete steps need to be taken to make disarmament happen, and to make the process truly global? And what can we do to help bring about thatprocess?

Join us for a day of analysis and planning in the run up tothe UN’s nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty Review Conference. Sessions will also discuss NATO, Afghanistan and how we can buildpressure in the run-up to the 2010 Non-Proliferation Treaty Review Conference this May.
